Marine Rifleman Sculptures
- MARINE RIFLEMAN - OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM, AFGHANISTAN
Enduring Freedom Marine represents a 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade (2MEB) rifleman on patrol.
Most of his clothing and equipment are Marine issue, including MCCU utilities, issue ballistic armor vest and pouches, and hydrapak. He carries the Marine issue M16A4 rifle fitted with ACOG (Advanced Combat Optical Gun sight) and 3-point sling.
Although his equipment and weapon specifications are quite specific, the Marine traditions carry on in this sculpture into modern times
